The Poarch Creek Indians Cultural Center pays respect to the elements of the land that the Poarch Band worked hard to hold onto as their own. Exposed timber columns and trusses, natural wood finishes and exposed stone are predominant features of the 8,400 square foot cultural center, which offers office space, an exhibition area, and a great hall for reception use. The center, which is used mainly to educate the public on the history of the Band’s heritage, includes Watermark’s design of a secure vault for preserving and cataloguing rare and delicate artifacts that require specific storage conditions. The center’s design also includes a pre-manufactured, metal portion that can be easily expanded for future growth of exhibits.
