Watermark has worked with some of the nation’s major hotel brands along the Gulf Coast, including Wyndham, Choice, Best Western and Holiday Inn. From Pell City to Pensacola, we’ve worked with local contractors and hotel owners to adapt and develop prototypical designs to fit specific site conditions and needs. Most of our projects have been mid-rise (2-6 stories) and wood-framed or concrete and masonry design. Our scope of work includes construction documents, coordination of all systems and utilities and determining life safety requirements as required for permitting.

Holiday Inn Express

Pensacola, Florida – Four-story, 46,000 square foot, wood-framed hotel. Features include a lobby with vestibule, front office and sales office, storage and baggage rooms, meeting and fitness rooms, breakfast area, outdoor pool and 73 guest rooms, some handicap accessible.

Comfort Suites 

Pell City, Alabama – A three-story, 36,700 square foot building with lobby area, breakfast area, meeting rooms, exercise room, 63 guest rooms and an outdoor pool.

Microtel Inn & Suites

Saraland, Alabama – A four-story, 48,000 square foot wood-framed building with many of the features listed above. We also provided construction plans for the hotel and surrounding property including landscaping and exterior lighting, and we assisted with bidding, construction contractor selection and construction contract administration. Our work also includes interior and exterior renderings.
