ThyssenKrupp Administration Building, Calvert, Alabama
The 78,000 square foot single-story structure features system furniture workstations that can accommodate 440 employees, a dining area for 200, multiple conference rooms, and a cutting edge technology video-conferencing room. The design of the building features more than 20,000 square feet of future expansion area which was carefully planned with all necessary utilities and minimal obstructions. LEED and sustainable design principals were followed throughout the design process. The building structural system is steel frame and metal joist roof, structural steel stud exterior framing clad with prefinished metal panels, all supported on a shallow-footing concrete foundation. The entire structure and its exterior components are designed to withstand 130 mph wind loads.
New Administration Building for Shell Chemical LP, Mobile, Alabama
Shell Chemical LP hired us to design a new 9,000 square foot Engineering and Administration building to replace an existing building more than 30 years old. The new structure is located in front of the old building and connects to it, presenting a new façade to Shell clients and visitors. The new building features steel framing, brick veneer and large impact rated insulated glass with large overhangs and a standing seam metal roof. The interiors feature private offices, a large meeting room with high-tech communications and durable finishes to promote longevity and minimal maintenance.
New Administration Building, additions and renovations for Mississippi Power Company, Plant Daniel, Moss Point, Mississippi
Watermark Design Group provided architectural services for the Administration Building additions and renovations. Watermark was selected from a competitive field of design firms to design a single-story, pre-engineered steel building on slab-on-grade, metal roof and walls, including a concrete storm shelter. A new breezeway created between the existing office and the new structure ties the existing and new design together and unite all phases into a matching a cohesive building.
